This beautiful trio of Chardonnays and Pinot showcases the winemaker’s focus on a defining element in style – where each vintage and each bottle, explores concentrated nuances.

Three different bottlings from our 2021 Define Series, this three-pack focuses on nuanced choices in the winemaking that are reflected in the finished wines. With our Define Series, our winemaker sets out to do something “distictly different” with with each bottling. Packaged in beautiful Anaba gift box.

2021 Define Series Chardonnay, Sonoma Coast 

Using the “Exclusive Toast” barrel toast level on this distinct Define Series Chardonnay enhances the beautiful lemon curd and stone fruit notes of the richly weighted mid-palate complemented by the focused oak and luxurious finish. It’s a gorgeous, layered, and textured wine.

2021 Define Series Chardonnay, Petaluma Gap 

This Chardonnay is from a single grower in the Petaluma Gap and we elected to implement a reductive style of winemaking.  While too much reduction can be considered a fault, there is a positive side to controlled reductive style that brings a flint or struck matchstick character to the wine, which is often a hallmark of many Old World Chardonnays. By barrel fermenting with more solids, we have created a Chardonnay that expresses this “good” reduction. The result is notes of guava and kiwi makes this wine the perfect pairing with any meal served with a nice lemon caper sauce. 

2021 Define Series Pinot Noir, Single Clone 

This Pinot Noir is from two different vineyards within the Sonoma Coast appellation, though we elected to focus on a single clone, in this case the Pommard Clone. The result is a deeply aromatic nose of plum, black cherry, blackberry, and sweet oak spic while the palate delivers brighter characteristics that are generous with red raspberry, star anise. It’s tetured, layered and has a seamless finish.
