2021 Chardonnay, Sonoma Coast (Terroir Series)
97 Points & Dbl Gold Press Democrat Wine Challenge
Our flagship Chardonnay in this inspired label design for this 2021 vintage paying homage to the hills of Sonoma. Beautiful aromas of quince, citrus and toasted almonds emanate from the glass. The palate is layered with concentrated honeyed flavors and gorgeous texture culminating in a long finish with focused acidity.
Winemaker’s Notes
The 2021 vintage was slow and steady, which allowed the fruit to gradually ripen, holding its acid and allowing it to develop complexity on the vine. The majority of the fruit was picked between mid-September and mid-October, with generous yet balanced yields.
The Vineyard
Highlighting the beauty of the appellation each year, our Sonoma Coast Chardonnay is an artistic blend sourced from distinct areas within the vast Sonoma Coast AVA. Each of the vineyard locations, located within ten miles of the coast, contribute to the balance and beauty of this wine – from the wind swept regions in the southern end to the cool and foggier regions in the north.
