2021 Pinot Noir, WestLands

94+ Points - Wine Advocate

This wine is ready to impress. Barrel select Pinot Noir from our best vineyards west of Sebastopol, this wine captures the true essence of the Sonoma Coast. Offering aromas of raspberry, cranberry and blood orange, the wine is powerful, elegant and has gorgeous acidity. The finish is long with a nice touch of spice.

Vineyard Notes

WestLands Pinot Noir captures the essence of the West Sonoma Coast. It is sourced from a selection of vineyards located with influences from the Pacific Ocean on the west side of the Sonoma Coast AVA, planted to clones 667, 777 and Pommard.

Winemaker’s Notes

In 2021, the vintage was slow and steady, which allowed the fruit to gradually ripen, holding its acid and allowing it to develop complexity on the vine. The majority of the fruit for this bottling was picked in mid-September, delivering generous yet balanced yields. This wine is delicately crafted from select barrels and is well-balanced. Pair this wine with duck, pork, Parisian Sunday Chicken with mushroom sauce, and french fries.
