2021 Chardonnay, Define Series – Sonoma Coast

Using the “Exclusive Toast” barrel toast level on this distinct Define Series Chardonnay enhances the beautiful lemon curd and stone fruit notes of the richly weighted mid-palate complemented by the focused oak and luxurious finish. It’s a gorgeous, layered, and textured wine.

Winemaker Notes:

With the inception of our Define Series here at Anaba, the goal was to do something distintly different with our winemaking style. In this bottling of Chardonnay, we focused on a specific barrel choice. I was introduced to this “Exclusive Toast” barrel toast level of Damy barrels by a noted Burgundian winemaker. The resulting wine is a lush representative of the Sonoma Coast AVA. The nose is brimming with lemon curd, apricot skins and creme brulee leading to a rich palate reminicent of a freshly baked stone fruit galette with a textured and creamy finish.
